Again not too many boys that impressed on Day 3 but those that stood out was really impressive. The incident where Jan Hendrik Wessels was red-carded certainly cost a few Free State boys a mention as it was an uphill battle for them being one man down.
For once the player of the day was just, just not a forward but the performance of Bobby Alexander at scrumhalf must be the best I've seen the whole season. A very close second was Valke Captain and eightman Franco Enslin who scored his second hattrick of the week. With all the talent available at eightman, I am glad that I do not have to pick the best for the two SA School's teams. There will be boys left out that will not only be unlucky but were robbed.
At flyhalf, Kade Wolhuter was great while the Valke's Kyle Potgieter and Boland's Boldwin Hansen also deserving a mention. Ian Small-Smith showed some great touches in a losing team.
Up front Andre-Hugo Venter once again shown great form in a losing Free State team. Hooker Wynand du Plessis at hooker for Boland showed also a pair of wheels in the try he scored. At lock, Dylan de Leeuw showed why he was relocated to Paul Roos with Pierich Siebert had a great day at flank in the Western Province side. Juandre Odendaal also looked good but the performance of Franco Enslin stole his limelight big time. Renier van Wyk from Boland also impressed at lock while Corne Rahl did enough on the attack to deserve a mention.
